The Study of Human Medicine

Tuition, Scholarships + Funding

As a private university, we receive no support from the Ministry of Science and therefore, charge tuition fees, which are low by international comparison. Scholarships and other financial aid ensure that financial means are not a selection criterion. No one is excluded from the opportunity to study because of social background.

Tuition fees

The tuition fees at the Paracelsus University are currently set at  € 10.500,- per year. The annual tuition fees must be paid in advance. Payment of the fees is set out in the contract between the University and the student.

Moreover, additional living expenses and costs for laptop, books, scripts, etc. must be taken into account.

State tuition fees do not apply.

State grants

Students of private universities have the same rights concerning residence and scholarships as students at Austrian state universities. All domestic students are entitled to state grants. The grant is a means of financial support from the state for students according to the "Promotion of Higher Education Act". For more information: http://www.stipendium.at

Family allowance

The provisions concerning the right to family allowance, co-insurance for children as well as tax regulations pertinent to students also apply to private universities.

Paracelsus Medical University Scholarship

The Paracelsus Medical University has its own annual scholarship program, which supports students in the payment of tuition fees. The scholarships awarded are based on certain social criteria. The decisive factor in being granted a scholarship is the parents’ income (proof required of the last two years of income) and the number of siblings still in parental care. After evaluation of the documents submitted, grants are calculated whereby the socially most needy students receive the highest grants. These scholarships are awarded on an annual basis and must be re-applied for each year.(deadline September 10th)

Paracelsus Medical University Merit Scholarship

At the end of each academic year the Paracelsus Medical University merits scholarships to students. One valedictorian from each year is awarded a merit scholarship. (This is calculated from an average of individual scores in relation to the ECTS credits.)

Paracelsus Medical University pre-financing model

In cooperation with financial partners, our university offers tailor-made pre-financing solutions that can cover the total tuition fees.
