Body donations
Ladies and Gentlemen,
thank you for considering donating your body in order to support the education of future as well as practicing physicians, thus providing them with the opportunity to acquire sound knowledge of the structure and functioning of the human body which as a result benefits the patients. Practicing physicians have the opportunity to develop, learn or practice extensive surgical techniques before applying these on patients. Furthermore, specifically designed scientific investigations serve to answer many questions in research and lead to advances in medical technology.
Please follow the link below for a comprehensive information sheet regarding the procedure of body donations. Please read this sheet carefully as it contains all relevant information as well as the form (01) regarding your last will. If you decide to donate your body, we would appreciate if you could also fill out form 02 (data sheet for scientific inquiries); however, this is not mandatory. We would like to invite you to come visit us at our institute so that we may answer any questions you might have or help you fill out the forms. Please contact Ms. Helga Leidinger between 08:30am and 2:30pm. (++43) (0) 662 442002-1241 to make an appointment. Further, we ask you to contact us via telephone if your place of residency is outside of the state of Salzburg.
If you prefer you can also simply send us the filled out and signed forms; we will then return to you all the necessary paperwork that would stay with you, stamped with the date of arrival of your forms. We would like to point out that we can only accept bequests from persons 50 years old or older. Also, we want to point out that this bequest is a declaration of intent and that we will not deduce any legal claim from your decision. The bequest can be revoked by you at any time; the „Paracelsus Medical University“ can also withdraw from this arrangement at any time. We highly recommend that you inform your relatives of your last will as you are the only person who is eligible to make changes to your bequest or withdraw from it.
