About the Society of Sponsors

In 1999 we had an idea and a vision. The idea was to set up a medical university with private sponsorship. This gave rise to the Paracelsus Medical University which is breaking new ground in medical education and training today. The vision was to provide excellence in teaching and research and to become internationally renowned. We work day in, day out to achieve this - and we are dedicated to what we do.

Education and research are expensive, but are of utmost importance for the future of our society. Many donors are already backing our work and have been lending us their generous support for several years, allowing us to realize our ambitious project quite independently. They deserve our special thanks.

Yet, not everyone who wants to help is able to remain committed as a patron, sponsor or friend over period of several years. Widely encouraged, we decided to call the Society of Sponsors of the Paracelsus University into being. The society sees itself as a support network of people who feel connected to the Paracelsus University, and whose wish it is to offer support both idealistically and financially. Every donation helps and is tax deductible.

A donation of 1,000 euros provides you with a membership to the Society of Sponsors and allows you to enjoy the following benefits:

Make new contacts and get to know other society members! We invite you to Salzburg for an annual get-together with leading members of the University.
Be informed regularly about life and work at the University! We will send you our high-quality university magazine "Paracelsus Today" three times a year, for free.
Start your day with a cup of coffee or tea and the certainty of having done something worthwhile! We will present you with a Paracelsus coffee or tea mug designed by the well-known Salzburg caricaturist, Thomas Witzany.
Take advantage of tax benefits by setting off your donation! We will send you a receipt for payment to include in your book-keeping.
