In 2003 the Paracelsus Medical University launched three programs intended to support young scientists:

• Research in music medicine
• Research in gender medicine
• Research in prosthetics, biomechanics and biomaterials
• Research in synergetic and neuroscientific therapy
• Research in suicide prevention
• Research initiative for applied cell biology

This gives young scientists the opportunity to explore new areas in research.
