University Course in Palliative Care

Palliative care improves the quality of life of patients and their families facing problems associated with life-threatening illnesses. This is made possible through early diagnosis and expert pain assessment whereby  pain relief and the treatment of other problems (physical, psychosocial and spiritual) can be directly approached.

The Paracelsus Medical University offers a course in palliative care in cooperation with the Bildungs- und Konferenzzentrum St. Virgil (Further Education and Conference Center St. Virgil, Austria) and the umbrella organization Hospiz Österreich (Hospice Association, Austria).
