The FOI’s main research interest is rheumatic diseases. Further specializations include radon in its various forms of application and ankylosing spondylitis (Bechterew’s disease). However, despite these highly specialized focus areas, the FOI remains open to issues which are relevant to Gastein’s health facilities.
