The Research Institute Gastein annually awards prizes for the best scientific work done in the specialist FOI fields of research. This award supports young scientists as well as national and international research in the specialist FOI areas. In 2008 a total of €10,000 was awarded by the Research Institute. The Gastein Award is given for outstanding work in research.
