Within Europe, students have completed their research trimesters in Milan, Italy (Università degli Studi di Milano), Ireland (National University of Ireland in Galway) and at the University of Freiburg, Germany. Another major cooperation agreement was signed with the venerable (654 year older) Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic. A cooperation between the Paracelsus Medical University and the Capital Medical University Beijing (CMU) has established the „Beijing-Salzburg-Foundation for Medical Research and Education“. In addition to the student exchange programs organized by the University, research is of central importance, with its main focus being on regenerative medicine.

Nursing Science

Masters degree in Glasgow and Florida. The Paracelsus Medical University also has the cutting edge in the field of nursing science owing to its unique international outlook. Thanks to close cooperation between the Schools of Nursing from both the University of North Florida (USA) and the Glasgow Caledonian University (Scotland), Nursing Science graduates with an MA from Salzburg also have the opportunity to acquire the same title from these two partner universities. Glasgow is also home to the School of Nursing, which ranks number one in the country in this field. While a worldrenowned center for nursing research has been established in Glasgow, Brooks College of Health at the University of North Florida takes the lead in training different health professionals in the USA.
