Circulation

A large part of the collection is located in the open stacks of the university library. These holdings are freely accessible and therefore do not have to be reserved.

Media at remote locations (e.g. Archive or CDK) must be requested first. As soon as the item can be picked up at the library, the user will receive an email notification.

Media from the open stacks can only be reserved if they are currently on loan. As soon as the requested item is available again, a notification will be sent by email.

In order to borrow materials, library users need a valid library card. For students, faculty, and staff at PMU or SALK, the SALK/PMU ID card also functions as their library card. External users can apply for a library card. Check out the Circulation Policy for further information.

Circulating material can be renewed as long as the maximal loan period or the due date has not yet been exeeded. It is not posible to renew  media requested by other borrower.

If you wish to renew the borrowed items, you can do that either in person, by mail, by phone, or you can renew the items from within the library online catalog

As a courtesy, the Library will email you a reminder notice several days before the due date. You are responsible for the timely return of your borrowed items regardless of whether or not you receive such notice.

Media may be returned at the library during opening hours, via mail or outside opening hours via  the book return box.

For futher information check the "Circulation policy".
