Location Salzburg

The city of Salzburg has about 149,000 inhabitants. Due to its baroque historical center, it is considered the "Rome of the North" and was declared a UNESCO world heritage site in 1996. The unique architecture is reflected in the famous buildings there, such as the castle, the cathedral, the Residenz or Mirabell palace. However, the Mozart and festival city is also a university city and thus a centre for study and research.

The city has many offers for the students in the areas of culture, sports and entertainment. The beautiful scenic landscape, the geographical location and the comprehensive vacation offers contribute to the high quality of life. The city image is marked by bicycle lanes and pedestrian zones with cafés and bars. The cultural program in Salzburg passes from the classical music, through the modern art, and up to the alternative scene.
