The Institute of Molecular Regenerative Medicine, part of the Spinal Cord Injury and Tissue Regeneration Center Salzburg (SCI-TReCS) at the Paracelsus Medical University (PMU) is offering

Postdoc/Staff Scientist Positions in neuroregeneration research.

You have a background in cellular and molecular biology with experience in the context of neuroscience. SCI-TReCS was founded in 2011 with the aim to investigate regenerative mechanisms in the field of brain and spinal cord injury. The Institute of Molecular Regenerative Medicine team focusses on mechanism and therapy development in aging, neurodegenerative diseases and spinal cord injury. Furthermore, we are engaged in teaching students in Human Medicine. The PMU offers a stimulating and interdisciplinary research environment in regenerative medicine.

Possible start of work: 1st February 2022

Remuneration: The annual gross remuneration is based on FWF recommendations for a Postdoc position and is listed with EUR 55.242,60 for 40 hours/week. A higher remuneration is possible depending on your experience and qualification.

Job description

You are interested in our primary research fields, such as the role of Platelets, CD8+ T-cells, Lipids and Leukotrienes, Microglia and Vascularity in the context of:

  • Aging
  • Alzheimer’s disease and other neurodegenerative diseases
  • Spinal cord injury
