Paracelsus Medical University (PMU)

Equal Treatment Task Force

Salzburg
Paracelsus Medical University (PMU) is committed to equal treatment regardless of gender, ethnicity, religion, belief, age, or sexual orientation, and to creating positive, career-enhancing conditions for women.

The university regards these concerns as a shared responsibility of all its members. This entails the consistent review, evaluation, and development of structures, measures, and decisions with the aim of ensuring equal treatment, regardless of gender, ethnicity, religion or belief, age, or sexual orientation.

To achieve this, an Equal Treatment Task Force (Arbeitskreis für Gleichbehandlung, AKG) has been established. Its rights and responsibilities are defined by the Federal Equal Treatment Act (Gleichbehandlungsgesetz – GlBG) in its current form, as well as the "Diversity, Gender Equality, and Women's Advancement" policy of PMU. The working group includes members from all areas of the university, and its term of office is three years.

Helpline for victims of sexual harassment

PMU and the University of Salzburg (PLUS) have jointly launched a helpline for individuals affected by sexual harassment. The helpline 0699/12420126 offers telephone counseling by an independent psychotherapist and is accessible every Wednesday from 1:00 to 2:00 PM. The service is confidential, free of charge, and can be used anonymously upon request.

This helpline is a collaboration between the University of Salzburg and the PMU.
