Research Management

Our Vision

Science and teaching are inextricably linked; they depend on each other and constantly challenge the current knowledge through critical engagement and reflection. They require an open mindset and an innovative approach to new and unknown areas. These are the indispensable prerequisites for a top-tier university that holds itself to the highest standards. Therefore, science and research are integral components of medical teaching and education at the PMU.

Research is not only crucial for medical progress but also fosters regional and international cooperation and connections with industry and business. Securing and expanding Salzburg as a hub of scientific activity is thus one of PMU's most important goals.
