The PMU considers itself a learning institution and recognises the immense value of staff mobility in fostering collaboration, innovation and partnerships. Colleagues are strongly encouraged to first contact the potential host department or institution before submitting a staff mobility application.

Staff mobility strengthens relationships with partners and expands the knowledge and competences of PMU's teaching, research and administrative staff. The University actively promotes staff mobility through programmes such as Erasmus+, Fulbright Scholarships, Africa-Uninet, Eurasia Pacific Uninet, research grants and bilateral agreements. Visiting staff, including visiting fellows for teaching and/or research as well as clinical fellows, are welcome to contact the International Office for further information.

Erasmus+ gave me the opportunity to adapt to different contexts and establish myself there. Without such experiences, I wouldn't be doing the things I do today.

In June 2023 I attended a language course at the University of Caen Normandy. The course was well organized, the teachers and facilities were excellent, and this created an atmosphere very conducive to learning. In short, the Erasmus+ program is a good way of upgrading your language skills.

One of the most significant aspects of my experience going to Lund, Sweden with ERASMUS+ was the invaluable opportunity to engage in advanced lab work. In addition to the academic and research benefits, the ERASMUS+ program offered me the chance to meet and collaborate with peers from a wide range of cultural and academic backgrounds.

I got the chance to participate in a Blended Intensive Program (BIP) and learn new things about a topic I would not have encountered without the Erasmus program. My Erasmus+ mobilities were an added value through and through. The Erasmus program is a privilege without a doubt. It is such an impactful program in terms of academic, but also personal development.

Having had the Erasmus grant was really helpful for me. Having been able to work with such great surgeons and learn from them was a very unique experience and will surely be helpful for my further career. I can highly recommend the friendly staff at the International Office and the whole Erasmus program in order to go and explore the world with all its beauty, differences and difficulties.

First of all, my Erasmus+ mobility allowed me to learn a lot about how it is to start in a new country without any / a lot of personal connections. It gave me the opportunity to learn a lot about research in general and the topic of the research project. Those are for sure learnings that will be useful for my entire career, as well as the connections I was able to make.
