PMU Innovations GmbH (PMU-I) was established in 2016 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of the PMU, focusing on the evaluation and commercialization of inventions, innovations, and projects.
The primary focus is on the development of medical products in the orthopedic-traumatology field. Through PMU-I, PMU aims to economically exploit scientific findings and thereby improve patient care.
A unique feature and the heart of PMU-I is the Innovation Workshop. It can be seen as a 'practical means to an end' to advance ideas and projects technically. The Innovation Workshop is available to both PMU employees and external clients.
