Collaboration
Networks
PMU is deeply involved in various working groups, actively collaborating with both external and internal stakeholders. Through these partnerships, we foster dynamic engagement and innovation. From academic circles to community organizations, PMU seeks to contribute meaningfully to diverse discussions and initiatives.
PMU proudly participates in SHK AG, alongside five other esteemed Salzburg higher education institutions: FH Salzburg, Mozarteum University, Seeburg University, PHe Stefan Zweig, and PLUS. This collaborative effort strengthens our collective impact and enhances cooperation among Salzburg's academic community.
In addition, such cooperation offers potential for the development of international networks and increases the visibility of the international community in Salzburg.
PMU is a member of ÖPUK, which serves as the representative body for Austrian private universities. ÖPUK advocates on behalf of these institutions to legislators, the public, media outlets, and other important stakeholders.
Austria boasts 19 private higher education institutions, including PMU, offering a diverse array of study programs encompassing over 200 degrees. These institutions specialize in various fields such as social sciences, economics, law, medicine, theology, philosophy, art, and musicology.
The Working Group Internationalisation is promoting and helping to advance the internalization of the private universities. International recruitment of faculty and students, academic networking and the exchange of best practice models in teaching and research serve, to constantly review and improve quality and contribute to raising the profile and reputation of Austria as an education location.
A subgroup of the working group is dedicated to the exchange of experience regarding student mobility (e.g. Erasmus+).
