Researchers at Paracelsus Medical Private University (PMU) conduct science and research at an internationally recognized level.
To honor outstanding science, the Research and Innovation Awards (RIA) are presented annually, replacing the former Paracelsus Science Awards. The RIA focus on a select few categories that highlight individuals and projects with exceptional achievements.
The jury for the RIA includes the Vice Rectors for Research Affairs and for Innovation and Digitalization, the Deans of Research in Salzburg and Nuremberg, members of the Research and Innovation Board in Salzburg, the Research Commission in Nuremberg, and a recently habilitated person during the evaluation period.
Eligible for these awards are all staff members from PMU's institutes, Salzburg University Hospital, and Klinikum Nürnberg who were employed during the evaluation period. Heads of clinics and institutes, as well as directors of research institutes and programs, are excluded from participating.
