Institut für Klinische Pharmakologie / Nürnberg
Teaching
Interactive, Innovative, and Clinically Relevant
Student education is a core priority of our institute. We emphasize an interactive, student-centered teaching approach designed to deliver practical, clearly structured, and easy-to-understand content. We actively embrace innovative teaching methods and continuously explore their integration into our existing curriculum.
The head of the department holds U.S. medical licensure (ECFMG certification) and is well acquainted with the content of the USMLE examinations. While these exams are important for many of our students, our teaching extends far beyond what is covered in “First Aid for the USMLE.”
Our goal is to inspire enthusiasm for an interdisciplinary and versatile foundational discipline that—despite its close ties to preclinical studies—remains highly relevant throughout clinical practice. The prioritization and contextualization of pharmacological topics are firmly grounded in current clinical guidelines and the chairholder’s extensive experience as an internist in routine patient care.
