The PMU is committed to becoming a world-class university by providing an enriching and stimulating environment to its students and staff through transdisciplinary collaboration with key partners worldwide. Internationalization is embedded in the PMU’s institutional culture and embodied in its actions and values.

To put this commitment into action, the PMU management established the International Office, which is the central unit responsible for developing and implementing the university’s internationalization strategies and activities. The PMU follows the principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion, and provides equal opportunities to all students, and staff. These principles are integral to the PMU´s internationalization strategy and are also articulated in the PMU´s gender equality plan.

Strategic Partners

The PMU maintains robust ties with its strategic partners. The Mayo Medical School served as the foundational model for the PMU's establishment, while collaboration with Kathmandu University School of Medical Sciences and Dhulikhel Hospital contributes a valuable non-western perspective on medical and health provision.
