Master's degree Nursing Science
Profile

The 2016 amendment to the Health and Nursing Care Act raised the education requirements for upper-level health and nursing care services to a Bachelor's degree, which in turn reshaped the qualification profiles in nursing science. Consequently, academic nursing programs, including the Master’s degree, have gained increasing significance.

Advancing scientific knowledge and integrating theory with practice

The Master’s program in Nursing Science aims to advance scientific understanding, building on and broadening the specialized knowledge and research skills developed during the Bachelor’s program.

In addition to deepening scientific expertise and staying up to date with industry advancements, the program emphasizes critical reflection, independent learning, and the effective integration of theory into practice.

Practical Application of Research

We teach students how to apply research to improve patient care, helping them develop the skills to design concepts, strategies, processes, and solutions that enhance healthcare delivery.

In an interdisciplinary and interprofessional environment, students engage in discussions on scientific topics and explore them through rigorous research methods. They learn to independently plan, execute, and evaluate nursing and healthcare research projects. The program places a strong emphasis on developing practical, ethical, and empirical expertise in nursing, which is central to the training.
