The Ph.D. program in Nursing Practice & Leadership at the Institute of Nursing Science and Practice of Paracelsus Medical University (PMU) aims to foster the next generation of nursing researchers, focusing on special leadership roles in cross-sectoral nursing and healthcare.

What the program offers

This program prepares doctoral students to meet the complex challenges faced by Senior Advanced Nurse Practitioners and other professional roles both within and beyond healthcare settings, while fostering their early scientific independence. A practice-oriented approach is both intended and encouraged, as nursing and health issues related to individuals' well-being and illness are addressed not only in primary care but also in secondary care settings.

As a student in our Ph.D. program, you will benefit from the advantages offered by the small group settings: excellent student-to-supervisor ratios, access to national and international experts, personal interactions, and direct and efficient communication channels. We place you and your individual needs at the center of our efforts.
