The PMU Institute of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmaceutical and Medical Chemistry (PMU) and the German University of Cairo, Faculty of Pharmacy and Biotechnology (GUC) aim to conduct a collaborative research in the use of computer modelling techniques in drug development.

This project thus aims to build GUC’s research capacity in this field. The PMU's expertise in this field is substantiated by the research activities of its faculty. The proposed project with GUC is one intervention measure that addresses multiple targets: outgoing staff mobility (PMU to GUC) is one of the defined measures for mobility and strengthening partnerships; incoming staff and student mobilities (GUC to PMU) are part of internationalization-at-home activities that are expected to enrich the curriculum content of the Pharmacy degree program as well as provide opportunities for non-mobile PMU students and staff to gain cross cultural experience.
