R is a free, open source, programming language and software environment for data cleaning, statistical analysis, graphics representation and reporting. R quickly attracted interest from scientists around the globe who needed statistical software and were willing to contribute ideas. While R is rewarding, it is also demanding at the same time, especially at the beginning.
These workshops help to climb the initial learning curve and provide you with the basic skills and experience (and confidence!) to enable you to further your experience in using R.
While the beginner sessions introduce the basic principles, the advanced sessions go deeper into special applications. They can be booked independently.

If you want to check a group of different hypotheses or variables related to the same experimental data set, testing one may give you a significant result, while testing all will increase the risk of getting you into the woods (i.e. increasing the probability of a false-positive result). This is the multiple testing problem.
This course introduces you to the world of multiple testing with the aim of finding solutions to avoid misinterpretation when checking more than one hypothesis or variable from the same data set.
The course combines theoretical approaches with practical methods.
Every Year, we invite international experts and alumni of the PMU to present their innovative work.
All talks are in English, online in MS Teams and always on a Tuesday starting at 5:15p.m.
