Bachelor's program in Human Medicine
Application & Admission
Registration for participation for our application period is going to start on November 15, 2025. Registration takes place exclusively via an online application form.
Application process and required documents
1. Online application
Application period: November 15, 2025 - April 07, 2026
The application process allows us to get a first impression of you. Please complete the online application form and upload the required application documents. After submitting the application form, you will receive an invoice for the application fee (note: the fee is non-refundable).
2. Admission test
Admission test: April 16 and 17, 2026 (Nuremberg) and April 21 to 23, 2026 (Salzburg)
Once you have successfully completed the initial registration step, you will be invited to take the written test. This is a comprehensive test that includes tasks in logic, personality assessment, and scientific knowledge at high school level (Matura/Abitur). Additionally, you are expected to have high school-level English proficiency (Matura/Abitur) and C1-level German proficiency for this test.
After completing the written test, the top candidates will be invited for an interview. The ranking is based on both the test results and your average high school grades (if you have not yet received your final grades, the average of your last two school years will be used). The overall score is composed of 20% from school grades and 80% from the test result.
If you completed your schooling outside of Austria, please convert your grades to the Austrian grading system using tables or formulas.
3. Admission interview
Admission interview: June 08 to 18, 2026 in Nuremberg and Salzburg
The interview gives us the opportunity to get to know you better, clarify any open questions, and assess whether your expectations align with our program.
The Admissions Committee will make the final decision on admission to the program or placement on the waiting list at the end of June. Please note, there is no legal recourse against a negative decision.
