Project content:

CONNATURALP is a visionary cross-border research project that explores how nature can be used not only as a habitat but as a resource for human health. At its core are clinical studies on nature-based therapies (NbTs), specifically designed for vulnerable groups – such as individuals suffering from sleep disorders – and evaluated using rigorous scientific methods. In addition, the project investigates how biodiversity and the ecological quality of natural environments influence physical and mental health.

Paracelsus Medical University Salzburg (PMU) leads the clinical research in Austria and co-develops monitoring and evaluation tools with its partners to accurately measure both health-related and ecological outcomes. CONNATURALP exemplifies a forward-thinking One Health approach, treating biodiversity conservation and human health as deeply interconnected challenges – and opportunities – for the future.
