We are pleased that you are considering transferring to the Paracelsus Medical Private University (PMU) for the second year of the Bachelor's program. Before applying, please carefully read the information about PMU and the applicant profile. The academic year at PMU starts early, so if accepted, please ensure your availability for the start of classes on Monday, September 1, 2025.
Lateral entry is possible in the 2nd or 3rd Bachelor year or in the 4th year of our diploma program.
You can find our admission requirements for lateral entry here
1. Online Application
Application period for 2025: May 2025
Your application helps us gain an initial impression of you. Please complete the online application form and upload the required documents. After submission, you will receive an invoice for the application fee (which is non-refundable).
2. What happens after your application?
After submitting your online application, we will first verify that all required documents are complete.
If a study place becomes available, we will begin the selection process and request payment of the processing fee upon issuing the invoice.
Next, we will assess your previous academic achievements to determine if they are equivalent to the standards required for our program. Relevant coursework in medicine will be reviewed to see if credits can be transferred toward the first year of PMU's Human Medicine program.
Your ranking will be based on two factors: your university entrance qualification grade or its equivalent (40%) and your grade point average from the first year of study (60%). The top candidates will be invited to an interview, which will take place between June and July.
The interview committee at your chosen study location will make the final decision regarding your admission.
