Short Description
This intensive two-day Erasmus+ program bridges the gap between scientific evidence, public health policy, and clinical practice in harm reduction. Designed for professionals, students, researchers, and NGO leaders, the curriculum moves systematically from theory to application. Participants will begin by analysing comparative European drug policies and participating in advanced clinical skill-building through overdose management simulations (Day 1). The program culminates in a focus on advocacy and strategic design (Day 2), where attendees collaborate to develop harm reduction intervention proposals. Through expert keynotes, hands-on workshops, and implementation science labs, this program will empower participants to translate complex evidence into life-saving community action.
Language:
English is the official language of the workshop.
Learning Objectives
1. Analyse the evidence base, principles, and ethics of various harm reduction strategies
2. Evaluate policy impacts and compare models across European countries
3. Strengthen practical skills in overdose prevention, safer-use education, and person-centred communication
4. Apply methodologies for program evaluation, implementation science, and research design in harm reduction settings.
5. Collaboratively develop evidence-informed harm reduction intervention proposals that can be implemented in academic or professional environments.
