ClinicalKey: Journals, E-Books, Videos, Abbildungen
All employees of the hospital, students of Paracelsus Medical Private University (PMU), and faculty of the Medical School have access to the ClinicalKey database by Elsevier. ClinicalKey is a "clinical search engine" that provides access to:
- 600 medical journals (archives from 2007), 1,100 e-books, 17,000 medical videos
- Around 6,000 guidelines + 350 procedures, 3,000 drug monographs, 9,000 patient information sheets (in English and Spanish)
- Over 2 million images
You can access the ClinicalKey content within the hospital or PMU by visiting www.clinicalkey.com.
A personalized external access is available once you register on the ClinicalKey website from within the hospital or PMU.
E-books can be downloaded chapter by chapter after personal registration on ClinicalKey.
Using Images from ClinicalKey
ClinicalKey provides a wide variety of images that can be used for presentations and other publications. No special permission is required for internal presentations (within Nuremberg Hospital or PMU). However, for any work published externally (such as presentations, theses, etc.), prior permission is required.

ClinicalKey Student
ClinicalKey Student is an interactive learning platform that provides access to numerous textbooks, copyrighted images, videos, and assessment tools to help review exam knowledge.
A one-time registration is required for access.
Please use your institutional email address from PMU or Nuremberg Hospital:
For registration outside of the hospital/university network, you will receive individual codes.
Complete Anatomy
Download the “Complete Anatomy” app (available for iPad, Mac, iPhone, Windows, or Android).
2D and 3D anatomy models can be used within the app.
Sign up for free using your university or hospital email address. You will receive the activation code from KNMS.
Endnote
EndNote is a web-based reference management program that allows for the simple and efficient management of bibliographic data (books, journal articles, websites, etc.).
For employees of Nuremberg Hospital and students of Paracelsus University, a license for EndNote Online is included in the Web of Science license.
While EndNote Online has fewer features compared to the standalone version x7, it has generally proven to be sufficient for most users.
One of the key features of EndNote Online is the ability to share bibliographic data with other EndNote users through shared folders. Data exchange between the standalone and online versions of EndNote is also possible.
Osmosis
Contains hundreds of medical videos. A link to ClinicalKey Student provides access to relevant learning videos.

The evidence-based database for clinical questions is available to all employees of Nuremberg Hospital.
- Over 10,500 topics in 24 specialties
- A central drug and interaction database
- Around 1,500 patient information topics
- More than 28,000 graphics and links to over 400,000 references
You can access UpToDate directly via http://www.uptodate.com or through your SAP start page.
UpToDate Anywhere can be accessed not only within the hospital but also privately on a PC, smartphone, or tablet. A one-time registration through the Nuremberg Hospital network is required for this.
Simple Registration (necessary for remote access and the mobile app):
- Access UpToDate through the Nuremberg Hospital network at www.uptodate.com/online
- Click on "Login/Register" in the top-right corner of the navigation bar on the UpToDate login page.
- Create a unique username and password on the UpToDate registration page.
- Registration is complete, and you will receive a confirmation email with instructions for installing the UpToDate mobile app.
- Please refer to the registration guide for more details.
- To keep your account active, it is important to log in to UpToDate from within the hospital at least once every 90 days.

Via Medici (Lernplattform)
The learning platform includes learning modules, IMPP exam multiple-choice questions, 120 electronic textbooks, case studies, visual diagnoses, images, and videos.

Web of Science
Web of Science is a database that records scientific publications along with their citations. Created by Clarivate Analytics, it offers extensive research and analysis options, and also includes the reference management program Endnote Online.
The database is multidisciplinary, with a focus on the natural sciences. Originally, it only indexed journals, but now it also includes books, conference proceedings, and a limited number of patents. Overall, the database covers about 10% of all scientific literature.
The "Citation Report" is a bibliometric analysis tool available in Web of Science.
