Palliative Care
Target groups & Eligibility requirements
Target groups
The university program in Palliative Care is designed for professionals in the following fields and roles within primary care (inpatient, mobile, acute, and long-term care) and specialized hospice and palliative care:
- medicine
- nursing
- pastoral care
- psychology, psychotherapy
- social work
- physiotherapy, occupational therapy, dietetics, speech therapy
- music and art therapy
Eligibility requirements
- currently working with chronically ill and/or seriously ill people
- relevant professional qualification (medicine, DGKP and PFA, theology, psychology, social work, MTD professions, etc.)
- for Level I: at least two years' experience in the healthcare or social sector and experience in supporting seriously ill people
- for Level II: at least three years' experience in the healthcare or social sector and experience in supporting seriously ill people
for Level III: successful completion of Level I and Level II as well as a completed diploma, master's, medical or bachelor's degree
