Frequently asked questions

Digital Library

PMU students, staff, and University Hospital physicians can access the library's licensed electronic resources remotely using EZproxy. No additional software is required. For detailed instructions on off-campus access, please view the "Logging in with EZproxy" video tutorial.

If you plan to read the ebook online, no special software is needed. However, for offline reading on some platforms, you will need to download the free Adobe Digital Editions software. For more details on accessing ebooks, click here.

The ability to print from an ebook varies depending on the provider. In many cases, you can only print individual pages or chapters.

Borrowing

Log in to your PMU library account at the top right corner of the library catalog. Under "My loans," you'll see all borrowed items along with their due dates. You can renew them by selecting “Renew all.” Alternatively, you can renew specific items by marking the individual titles and clicking “Renew” at the top right of the list. You can also renew items by contacting us via email or phone.

There are several possible reasons:

  • Another person has reserved the book.
  • You have reached the maximum allowable loan period.
  • The item is overdue, and a reminder has already been sent.
  • Your user account is blocked, or your library card has expired.

Most materials are available in the open stacks of the University Library and can’t be reserved. However, items that are currently on loan or located in the CDK Library or Archives need to be requested. You will receive an email notification once the requested item is available.

You can only request items that are currently on loan or those located in the CDK Library or the Archives.

Fines can only be paid in cash at the library. Payments via bank transfer or credit card are not accepted.

Yes, you can return items using the book drop located on the ground floor at the main entrance (between the two glass doors). The book drop will be emptied on the next business day, and items will be checked in at that time.
