Applied Ethics in Clinical Practice

Content
The program combines in-person modules with online courses to cover three key areas:
- Ethical knowledge and competence
focusing on the fundamentals of ethics, ethical reasoning, and principlism. - Decision-making in interprofessional teams
with an emphasis on interprofessional communication and collaborative decision-making. - Ethical issues and questions
including key topics such as autonomy, advance care planning, the elderly in hospital settings, perspectives on health, illness, quality of life, and dying, as well as goal-setting in therapy.
Participants will work on a practical case from their professional environment and reflect on the course content in relation to their daily work, providing a well-rounded learning experience.
Academic qualification
- Certificate from Paracelsus Medical University (6 ECTS)
- Microcredential from Paracelsus Medical University (6 ECTS)
- Approved by the Austrian Medical Chamber (ÖAK) with a total of 52 DFP points
- Approved by the Austrian Nursing Association (ÖGKV) with a total of 300 ÖGKV PFP® points
