210.000 Euro: PMU alumna Christine Maria Poch receives the Jung Career Advancement Award for Medical Research 2024

Her heart beats for research—especially in cardiology. Dr. Christine Maria Poch is utilizing innovative three-dimensional cell models based on 3D printing technology to simulate the complexity and functionality of the heart. The PMU alumna (graduating class of 2016 in Human Medicine) is not only creating valuable platforms for the study of heart diseases but also laying the foundation for new therapeutic approaches. Currently, Christine Maria Poch works as a cardiology consultant and clinical researcher at the Clinic and Polyclinic for Internal Medicine I at the Klinikum rechts der Isar, Technical University of Munich. For her promising scientific research in the field of cardiology, she will be awarded the Jung Career Award for Medical Research 2024 by the Hamburg Jung Foundation for Science and Research. The award will support her research over the next three years with a total of 210,000 euros, which Christine Maria Poch can use freely to continue her work.
