PMU Charity Ball 2026: An Evening of Dance, Glamour & Masks

On January 24, 2026, the historic Stiegl-Keller in Salzburg was transformed into a glamorous ballroom. Under the motto “An Evening of Dance, Glamour, and Masks,” over 650 guests attended the 12th Charity Ball of the Paracelsus Medical Private University (PMU). The Med Gala was organized by the Ball Committee of the Class of 2022, who, with great dedication and attention to detail, created a festive and dazzling event.
Grand Opening with Special Words
After the traditional champagne reception, guests enjoyed a festive gala dinner before the opening speeches began. Class representatives Kim Hildinger, Johannes Rubner, and Tim Jonas opened the evening and welcomed the numerous attendees.
PMU Rector Annemarie Weissenbacher then addressed the audience, expressing special thanks to the parents of the students for their trust in the Medical Private University and wishing everyone an unforgettable ball.
Representatives of the Papageno Children’s Hospice, this year’s charity recipient, also spoke, thanking everyone for their generous support. Chancellor Vera Coreth, as well as Alumni Club board members Isa Maria van Wersch and Simon Krutter, attended the ball, underscoring the strong connection between the university and PMU alumni. Among the many guests of honor was also founding rector Herbert Resch.
Thanks to the Sponsors
An event of this scale is only possible with strong support. Special thanks go to the main sponsors:
- Silicium Consulting
- Bridal Boutique Lilee
- Radiology Institute Dr. Doringer
- Castellanum
- Croma
- Nadler Jewelers
as well as many other partners and supporters of the PMU, whose contributions were instrumental in the success of the Charity Ball.
An Evening for a Good Cause
The PMU Charity Ball 2026 was not only a glamorous social event but also an impressive demonstration of community and commitment: all proceeds from the ball will benefit the Papageno Children’s Hospice, which supports families in particularly challenging life situations. The Papageno team’s speech of thanks highlighted the importance of this collective support.
Art Auction: A Further Highlight Another highlight of the evening was the auction of a painting created by a student. The artwork, featuring a mountain motif, was auctioned for over €400, with proceeds also going to the Papageno Children’s Hospice. The artist deliberately chose a mountain theme: mountains symbolize the demanding medical studies—first, one must conquer the steep ascent, but at the summit, a fantastic view and well-deserved success await.
The entire Ball Committee of the Class of 2022 can be proud of an extraordinary event that will surely remain in the memories of all guests for a long time.
