Two graduations, one shared reason for joy: On July 10th, graduates of the Master's program in Palliative Care and the university course in Health Sciences & Leadership were awarded their diplomas during an academic ceremony. Out of a total of 56 former PMU students, 42 were present on-site.

Successfully Completed

University Course in Health Sciences & Leadership: 21 graduates are celebrating their achievement of the degree "Master of Science (Continuing Education), MSc (CE)".

Master's Program in Palliative Care: A total of 35 individuals can now call themselves "Master Professional (MPr)".

Univ.-Prof. Dr. Johanna Pachmayr acted as the moderator for the event, which took place in the Jörg Rehn Auditorium of the Paracelsus Medical Private University (PMU) in Salzburg. Together with the program directors Mag. Barbara Karitnig and Doris Schlömmer, BSc, MA, MMSc, she presented the graduates with their master's diplomas, expressing their appreciation and respect for their accomplishments. The ceremony was musically accompanied by the band Rowsekit.

In addition to the happy graduates and their families and friends, representatives from the cooperation partners of the two continuing education programs were also in attendance—represented by Burkhard van der Vorst (University Clinics Salzburg), Mag. Dr. Jakob Reichenberger (Director of St. Virgil), and Mag. Barbara Schwarz (President of the Hospice Austria Association). They have all been closely collaborating with the PMU for many years in support of the two programs.

Celebratory Conclusion with Inspiring Speeches

Chancellor Christiane Pedit represented the PMU with her presence and addressed the guests with her greetings. She emphasized the value of continuing education in a dynamic and indeed challenging healthcare environment and thanked the families and companions for their support, which made the successful completion of studies possible: "Continue to have the courage to take new paths, drive change, and take responsibility," was her central message to the graduates of both programs.

Before the awarding of the diplomas, the cooperation partners of both programs also conveyed motivating congratulations to those present and thanked the organizers from the study programs, whose work has significantly contributed to the long-standing cooperation. Dr. Jakob Reichenberger, Director of St. Virgil, handed the graduates a short leaflet: "Be proud of what you have achieved, rely on your network in times of risks and side effects, and exchange ideas—and for here and now: Let yourself be celebrated extensively."

The keynote speech was delivered by Univ.-Prof. Priv.-Doz. Dr. Thomas Schneidhofer, Dean of the Faculty and Professor of Human Resource Management and Organization at Seeburg Private University, under the exciting title "Diversity or Simplicity? A Burst of Courage," which encouraged reflection.

Following the official awarding of titles, personal words from the graduates in their inspiring valedictory speech and the joint "Gaudeamus Igitur," accompanied by the traditional cap toss, ensued. Finally, the champagne corks were allowed to pop—the PMU warmly congratulates all graduates and wishes them all the best for their future professional and personal paths.
