"Where there is a beginning, there is also an end—and a path that you have consistently followed to this very day. And you should be proud of that." With these words, Univ.-Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Jürgen Osterbrink, Head of the Institute for Nursing Science and Practice at Paracelsus Medical Private University (PMU), opened the Academic Ceremony last Friday. For the new Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Master of Science in Public Health, and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Nursing and Allied Health Sciences graduates who have recently earned their degrees, it is now time to apply what they have learned in their everyday practice.

A Very Special Day

During the ceremony, which took place in the auditorium of the teaching and research building House C at PMU, Univ.-Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Jürgen Osterbrink presented the attending graduates with their certificates and wished them much success and confidence: "Never let yourself be discouraged; be the encourager!" Univ.-Prof. Dr. Maria Flamm, Head of the Research Center for Public Health & Health Services Research, also extended her congratulations to the graduates. Through their studies, these newly minted academics have acquired internationally recognized and valued foundations for their careers in nursing science.

In the presence of family, relatives, and friends, all graduates solemnly took their oath and proclaimed: "We are proud of what we have achieved and curious about what lies ahead." After the official part, which included the traditional cap toss, commemorative photos were taken, and the celebrations were concluded with a sparkling wine toast in a joyful atmosphere.

PMU extends its heartfelt congratulations to all its graduates!
