Sandra Wallner, a native of Pongau, has been closely associated with the Kardinal Schwarzenberg Klinikum, the second-largest hospital in the state of Salzburg, for many years. She completed her diploma in nursing at the hospital's School for Health and Nursing Care and has been working in various responsible positions at the Schwarzach Klinikum since 2006. From 2017 to 2020, Sandra Wallner completed a part-time Bachelor's degree in Nursing Science Online at the Paracelsus Medical Private University, and in early 2025, she completed the University Course in Nursing Management there.

Eugen Adelsmayr, the medical director of the Schwarzach Klinikum, attests to the new nursing director's leadership qualities and high professional and personal competence, which she has already demonstrated as a long-standing ward manager. The 41-year-old took over the interim management of the nursing directorate in November of last year, and since April 2025, she has been the nursing director: "I want to innovatively develop nursing at the Kardinal Schwarzenberg Klinikum and place a strong focus on employee retention," emphasizes Sandra Wallner. "A major goal is to expand working time models and thus the compatibility of family and career, to further develop our career model in nursing, and to promote specializations. Overall, nursing must not stand still. We must meet the increasingly complex disease patterns and the increased need for care in the future with new solution approaches." With more than 700 employees, nursing is the largest professional group at the Klinikum
